GDPR Safe is here at DVS…what is it?

GDPR Safe is a service that helps Domestic & Commercial CCTV operators to meet their legal obligations under UK Data Protection law. It is suitable for Domestic Video Doorbell installations, too. GDPR Safe provides guidance on how a CCTV system should be operated in a legally compliant manner – reassuring customers that they are doing all that they can to avoid ICO Fines and Civil Litigation.

However, there are plenty of misconceptions about GDPR, CCTV and Brexit – most of which are either inaccurate or incorrect. It is crucial that we, especially installers, adhere to the current laws when it comes to GDPR to avoid being penalised.
